Viridor and Rock Solid agree IBA contract
Rock Solid are extremely proud to announce another significant expansion to their Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) processing operations in Scotland with the signing of a further long term IBA management contract in April 2021 with Viridor (Dunbar Waste Services Ltd).
This latest announcement being the second new IBA contract secured by Rock Solid in Scotland this year. The contract between Rock Solid and Viridor (Dunbar Waste Service Ltd) is to provide long term IBA processing and management services for the Viridor Energy from Waste Facility located at Oxwellmains, Dunbar, with the processing being undertaken close to Cowdenbeath in Fife at a purpose built IBA processing facility.
This new contract is the first such contract between the parties in the UK, and it is hoped that this will be the catalyst for further cooperation and synergy on a number of other potential projects in the future.
